Less than a month! Kilimanjaro hope you’re ready. benmckamey: Mt. Kilimanjaro - Camp Above The Clouds 13,000’ Feet above sea level, the Karanga Valley Camp was a welcome respite sight at the end of a long and hard day that took us up to 15,000’ to aid in our altitude acclimatization. We arrived in camp tired, cold, and surrounded a by dense fog. Morning brought some beautiful weather and our first clear views of the summit of the mountain since we arrived in Tanzania six days earlier. Looking out from the center of our camp, and away from the mountain, we were treated with this view. ©2011 Benjamin McKamey

The newest app on our iPhones!

Jambo!  Jamie and I decided we should try to learn some Swahili for our trip. WorldNomads has a great app on the iPhone to learn a few key phrases and words.

Jamie’s a whiz at finding the best apps for our phones. Nice find Jaimers. :)

Not sure I’ll be fluent any time soon but what a beautiful language!
